Envirostream Fire Provision Reduced to Nil
Highlights
• Five claims arising from the January 2019 fire have now been settled, with the remaining fire-related
provision reduced to nil
• All claims are indemnified by Envirostreamʼs insurer, with no settlement cash outflow by Livium
• FY26: Revised provision of A$5.465 million, resulting in an additional non-cash expense of A$0.103 million
before tax compared with the unaudited preliminary results
• FY27: Settlement of the five claims results in a non-cash benefit of A$5.465 million before tax for the year
ending 30 June 2027
Livium Ltd (ASX: LIT) (“Livium” or the “Company”) advises that its insurer has settled a further claim for
approximately A$3.700 million relating to the 19 January 2019 fire at Envirostream Australia Pty Ltdʼs (Envirostream)
former Campbellfield premises. Further to the previously advised settlements of approximately A$1.765 million1
, total
settlements across the five claims are approximately A$5.465 million. Envirostreamʼs insurer has confirmed that, following
the settlements above, it is not aware of any active legal proceedings remaining in relation to the fire.
The Company has also reassessed a separate historical matter based on updated information received from
Envirostreamʼs insurer. Based on the information available, the Company has concluded that an outflow in respect of this
matter is no longer probable and, accordingly, no provision is required.
Envirostream has been indemnified by its insurer in respect of all claims and, accordingly, settlement of the claims does
not result in a cash outflow by Livium.
Impact on FY26 results
New third-party information, including the settlement details and insurer confirmations, has resulted in the provision at
30 June 2026 being reassessed at A$5.465 million, compared with A$5.362 million disclosed in the unaudited Appendix
4E and Preliminary Final Report2
. The A$0.103 million increase will be recognised as an additional non-cash remediation
expense, reducing the Groupʼs FY26 result before tax.
The Company is finalising its audited Annual Report, which will be released before the end of September 2026.
Post-year-end impact
As the five claims were settled after year end, the full A$5.465 million revised provision has been released in FY27,
resulting in a non-cash benefit of A$5.465 million to the Groupʼs result before tax for the year ending 30 June 2027. As at
the date of this announcement, the fire-related provision is nil.
Livium CFO Stuart Tarrant commented: “Given we were indemnified by our insurer, they have controlled the timing
and outcome of legal proceedings. Settlement of these claims and the release of the related provision are welcomed and
have a material positive impact on the Groupʼs financial position.”
Authorised for release by the Livium Board.
