Livium is pleased to announce the establishment of a 50:50 Joint Venture with Mineral Resources for the commercialization of the LieNA® technology.

The successful completion of Stage 1A Activities under the Joint Development Agreement has led to the formation of the JV via LieNA Pty Ltd, the entity holding the intellectual property. The JV seeks to issue licenses for the lithium processing technology to third-parties. Both Livium and MinRes are committed to unlocking the commercial potential of LieNA® and delivering value to shareholders. The JV will license the technology with a target royalty rate of 8% and plans to initially deploy it in a semi-commercial facility.

While the current lithium market faces challenges, fundamental demand drivers like electrification and decarbonization remain strong. The parties have agreed to adjust the timeline for the LieNA® Demonstration Plant to monitor market conditions. Livium and MinRes will explore options to realise short term value or alternatively preserve medium term value from the LieNA® technology.
