Our battery recycling business, Envirostream, recently hosted the CEO of the Victorian Environmental Protection Authority, Mr. Lee Miezis and members of his team.

Lithium Australia CEO, Simon Linge, our GM Recycling, Steven Marshall, and the Envirostream team were able to show the significant investment and improvements made in leading fire safety and sustainability equipment and processes.  In addition, the visit provided an opportunity to discuss with Lee and the EPA team the opportunities and challenges for recycling batteries, including the need for all other Australian States and Territories to follow the State of Victoria and put a ban on sending batteries to landfill.

We look forward to hosting other State regulators in the weeks and months ahead, as we seek to ensure lithium-ion batteries do not go to landfill.
